Transfers – NEW Transfer Process!
For the health and safety of all participants, it is important to have accurate information of actual participants and especially during emergency situations. Only official transfers during the transfer period will be allowed. A person who runs under someone else’s bib or doesn’t wear a bib will be disqualified and may face suspension from future Bay Races.
Transfer period closes at 9:00 am on March 22, 2026.
If you transfer your entry to someone else, you do not receive any of the race swag. The transfer recipient will receive the race swag.
Original* registrant initiates the transfer through Race Roster. You will need to log in. After initiating transfer and inputting new registrant’s email address, the new registrant receives an email with instructions to input new registrant info and make payment (registration and transfer fees). Once transfer is completed, original registrant will receive a registration refund (does not include processing fees) and will be removed from the race.
No exchange of funds is required between original registrant and new registrant.
Products and Extras are non-transferable: E.g. Medal Personalization, Deferral Option Package, Race Day Pickup, and additional apparel purchased through the store or during the registration process are all non-transferable.
A credit in the form of a promo code (applicable to 2027 race) will be issued in September 2026 to the original registrant for products or extras (excluding additional apparel) purchased.
Additional apparel purchased will be mailed to the original registrant.
*If original registrant registered with a deferral/promo code, please email info@bayrace.com to initiate a transfer to another person. Refunds are not issued when a promo code is used.
To transfer to another sub-event (race category):
- Log into your Race Roster account and Bay Race profile
- Click on the transfer link near the middle top of your page
- Click on Transfer to Another Sub-Event
- Choose the race category you wish to move to and proceed from there
- Please note, if you downgrade to a category of lesser value, there is no credit. If you upgrade to a category of greater value, the balance is owing.
- If you used a promo code to register and would like to transfer to another sub-event, please email info@bayrace.com as the system will not recognize the original promo code credit.

Please note the Around The Bay Road Race is not responsible for private transactions on transfers and will not be involved in transfer disputes. With this new transfer process, exchange of funds between original registrant and new registrant is not required.
No race day transfers or registrations.

Entry Limits
The Bay Race has set the following limits for 2026:
- 30K Road Race – 4,500 participants
- 15K – 1,250 participants
- 10K – 1,250 participants
- 5K – 1,500 participants
30K Start Corral Considerations
SEEDED CORRAL
Corral Placement is based on predicted finishing time. Corral details coming soon.
The 30K and 5K seeded corrals are based on a qualifying standard as listed below. This seeding is on a first come basis, and is not guaranteed. Participants who register after the corrals are full will be placed in the white corral.
CONFIRM YOUR CORRAL PLACEMENT
Your Corral placement is displayed on your HTG confirmation email. Running Room confirmation emails do not display corral placements but race kits picked up during race weekend will be labelled with corrals.
All race packets become the property of the Bay Race once Registration and Packet Pickup closes.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
- For the In-Person 30k and/or The Hammer Races — You must be at least 15 years of age on March 26, 2023 to participate.
RACE PACKET PICKUP
All participants are required to pick up their bib during the Health and Fitness Expo. The hours of operation are Friday, March 27, 2020 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 9:30am to 5:30pm. THERE WILL BE NO RUNNER PACKET PICKUP ON RACE DAY UNLESS YOU HAVE THE ATB+ PACKAGE.
COURSE TIME LIMITS
Participants must be able to complete the 30k Road Race in 4.5 hours from the start of the horn at 9:30am. All participants not reaching the 15km point by 11:45am or the 20km point by 12:30pm will not be allowed to finish the race. The course time limit will be strictly enforced due to traffic control and runner safety. At the discretion of the POLICE, slower participants may be asked to walk along the sidewalks and obey traffic rules. The Finish Line will be taken down at 2:00pm.
