Shoelace Charm Program to represent your Bay Race runs

Bay Race shoelace charms - participation recognition

Participants who have run the 30K ten times or more since 1999 and received an official result in each of those races can request a FREE and exclusive shoelace charm representing your Bay Race milestone. Note: This is recognition for the 30K event only. Please do not include the number of times you have participated in the relays or 5k. Completing the 30K in the 2021 ATB Virtual Race counts towards this program.

Important: Due to our access to results records, this recognition program applies to the number of times a participant has run the 30K since 1999. If you completed the Bay Race 30K prior to 1999 and would like to count it towards this program, proof of finishing is required, such as a medal or documentation of the final result.

Please refer to for Bay Race results from 1999-2019.

Requests for the shoelace charm can be sent to for verification. Please include all the possible names you registered with and the exact race years where you have an official result.

Shoelace Charm available at the 2020 Bay Race Expo only. Our volunteers are not able to verify charm requests at the Expo so please submit request by January 31, 2020.

Expo Hours:

Charms will not be mailed and are not available on Race Day.

Charm requests will be accepted from October 1, 2019 – January 31, 2020 for pick-up at 2020 Health & Fitness Expo.

Charms are only available once a year at Race Weekend Expo.

The honour roll list is based on your answer provided on your last entry form regarding how many times you have participated in the 30k. Listing on this honour roll does not automatically qualify you for a shoelace charm.

If this list does not accurately reflect the number of times you participated, then please email us the details and we can update the list. Please note, this list is not used for the shoelace charm program.
