Registration Policies

Please read carefully before registering for any event(s).


Registration Policy for 2020 registrants – No refunds.  

If the 2022 Around The Bay Race is cancelled, the confirmed deferred registrants from 2020 who registered for 2022 will be given the option to participate virtually in the 2022 Around The Bay Virtual Race OR in-person in 2023.

Registration Policy for new 2022 paid registrants.

If the 2022 Around The Bay Race is cancelled, new 2022 paid registrants will be given the following options.

  1. Transfer to the 2022 virtual event and receive a 50% credit for the 2023 Around The Bay Road Race. 
  2. Defer 2022 registration to the 2023 Around The Bay Road Race
  3. Request 50% rebate on 2022 paid registration fee. Online transaction fees are not included in the rebate. E.g. 2022 30K in-person registration is $105 + online fees + HST.  The 50% rebate would be $52.50 + HST


If the registrant is unable to participate because of injury, illness, scheduling conflict, or any other reason, the ATB+ deferral package can be purchased for the option to defer to 2023. Otherwise, registration fees are non-refundable.


You can transfer to someone else through your Race Roster dashboard until March 1, 2022. Click on transfer link near the middle top of your profile page. Initiate a transfer. The recipient of the transfer will receive and email and steps to complete the transfer including paying the transfer fee ($15 + tax and online fees).

You can also transfer to another race category through your Race Roster dashboard until March 1, 2022. Click on transfer link near the middle top of your profile page. Click on transfer to new sub-event and proceed from there.

COVID-19 Policy – Updated march 1, 2022

All participants/volunteers will be required to follow the laws, recommended guidelines and protocols issued by the Province of Ontario and local Public Health units with respect to COVID-19. Participants/volunteers will review and follow the recommended guidelines and COVID-19 protocols mandated by the Around The Bay Road Race.

Proof of vaccination will be not required to enter FirstOntario Centre. COVID-19 protocols may change between the time of registration and race week. The Around The Bay Road Race will follow the most current provincial directives and guidelines.

If a registrant/volunteer is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 within 10 days leading up to race day, the registrant/volunteer should stay at home

The Bay Race, in accordance with management executives, city officials and local law enforcement has the authority to cancel any of the events for emergency purposes such as, but not limited to, inclement weather, a pandemic, or threat of terrorism.


  • For the In-Person 30k and/or The Hammer Races — You must be at least 15 years of age on March 27, 2022 to participate.


Course time limits still to be determined. Please do not register yet if a course time limit may impact your participation.
